We used a total of 100 diapers and followed a combination of tutorials found online. We inserted one of the large empty oatmeal containers in the center and it reached from the bottom layer up to about half of the top layer. The remaining center space was filled with a piece of styrofoam that we could use to secure the topper in place.
It was really quite easy and fun to make! I hope the new mom enjoys it!

That diaper cake is beautiful! And you had the opportunity to make it with your daughter... that doubled the fun... :>) I always enjoy when my daughter and I do something like that together....
