A GIVEAWAY WHERE EVERYONE IS A WINNER!

If you have been reading my blog entries lately you know that I have been working on Valentine's Day collars to add to my Etsy shop this week--even before the middle of December. I love creating the designs with bows--I have to confess that they are my favorite. I fall short when it comes to choosing the right designs that will be suitable for the male pooches. So I am asking for your help! Everyone who responds before the contest deadline on December 13th will be given a 20% OFF COUPON CODE that can be redeemed towards one Valentine's Day collar during the month of January 2010.
One lucky participant will win the collar of their choice!

Here are the steps to follow for this GIVEAWAY:

Step 1:

Look over all these fabric choices:

Step 2:
Add a comment to this post with at least 2 choices of the fabrics pictured which YOU think would be appropriate for a Valentine's Day collar for a male dog. Make sure I have access to your email address for the coupon code.

That's it! Just leave a comment and I will forward you the Coupon Code*. You will automatically be entered in the drawing** for "YOUR CHOICE OF ANY COLLAR IN MY ETSY SHOP".
*Only one coupon code per person will be given.
**Only one entry per person in the collar giveaway.

DEADLINE: This Giveaway will end on Sunday, December 13 at midnight CT--so hurry!

Hi Suzanne,

I love your collars! I can't wait to buy one for Valentine's Day. I have gotten so many compliments on Olive's Christmas collar!

I would pick e,f, or i for a male.

Happy Holidays!

Hi Suzanne!
I like b, e, and f for my boy!

F or I are my choices. Black is more 'manly' and not used much for V-day things, so that's my favorite. I will definitely be buying a girly one with a bow for Sophie!

Keep them coming!

I think E and F are the least girly, might have my boy wear them. Maybe if they were paired with a black bow or something to just up the "not pink" factor :-) Good luck! renee_stromberg@yahoo.com

E and F, definitely. More black, no pink.

E and F are my choices. F is the favorite with a black bow. He would be all dressed up for valentines day!

E and F for sure!!

F is the favorite for my Westie boy! Play up the black in it, definitely. Or maybe add a few metal studs for a tough guy look.

I like E, F, H, and I for a boy. Even though H is pink, I think it's very Valentine's day looking.

Also, I love your bows too but there is no way my son would let me put a bow on his dog.
So how about a BOW TIE?

Maybe in a contrasting fabric - or all black, all white? and it would go in the front instead of the back.

I saw a dog at a craft show with one on before. The owner had just used a human bow tie and attached it to a regular collar.
It was really cute!

E and F are my favorite too. How about a bow tie for a boy dog in black or dark red. That would be very masculine.

Definitely E and F... The black background is especially appropriate because it gives it a masculine edge. As long as the fabrics are not overly sweet (fabrics with too much pinks for example), it will work.

I guess F & G would be my guess for the Boys!! My girls like the others, but they said they are attracted to any male that will wear a cool collar for Valentine's Day!!! He must be secure in his masculinity!

Kristina said...

I think E and I are the best, because they are simple and not "over the top" V Day.

Darcy said...

I would be proud to dress my little Indie in E or I! They are simple and not too girly.

Once again, I need to tell you how much I love the Christmas collar I ordered from you! My little pup looks adorable in it and it's so well made!

Thanks for the chance!

Hi Suzanne! My vote would be for E or F. Not too girly and I love that black background as a more masculine look. Good luck with them!! Anita AnitanKS@gmail.com

My choices would be f, or e. Great idea for a giveaway, Suzanne. Your collars are super!

I would say E anf F. Should be perfect

Joy said...

I would do E and F very cute.

I would use A or I and accessorize with a masculine color. Maybe use navy or black hardware? You could also do a Bow Tie design on the collar instead of the more feminine design you're doing now to make it a little more masculine. I would also look for a "heartbreaker" type fabric. I know that's more than you asked for - but eventually I'll have a boy dog & I'd put that on him!

Hi
I prefer option C, E or F. I think contrasted with a solid colour on either the collar or the bow would look great and appeal for owners of male dogs. I like the bow tie suggestion and I would also suggest a short tie. All too cute.
I'm on your email list starting with "mmonicar" prefer not to publish my full email. Ta

My collar collection from Suzanne is piling up! I just love all of the darling bow collars for my Miniature Schnauzer Princess! Although I don't have a boy, I would not hesitate to put these collars on him!

1st choice: F
2nd choice: E

Thanks Suzanne!

I'm a fan of F because of the black, which I see a lot are noticing. I'm always up for a good plaid or polka dot, too. My male dog is currently wearing your Once Upon A Garden collar, and I don't think it's girly at all.

Ok, maybe with the bow....

I would use E & F for boy dogs. Too much PINK and I start throwing up. Ha ha ha ha ha! The collars are great!

Suzanne,
I love your colors and I love the choices of fabrics you have..but in my opinion, I would not choose any of those fabrics...I would get a black and red striped fabric for a male dog around Valentines day...just my opinion.

Hope you can come up with a great collar (as I know you will).

Suzanne, My boys will balk at wearing hearts and flowers, but Fritz, my black part chow. really big dog said if I insisted he wear hearts then F is certainly his choice and Dozer the Boston Terrier said he guess he would wear E. When I showed them to Pilgrim, the guard dog for the Goats, he said forget it. All the cycotes and predators would just laugh at him wearing hearts.

So there you have our choices.
Miss Savannah said she would be
proud to wear one of your collars.

I'd prefer one of your collars with a bow tie for the boys...I'm thinking tux. I like E and F best from the choices though. My growing girl really wants a collar in fabric C which I think any boy or girl puppy would look adorable in.

I am like most other people and would choose F followed by E. I noticed a fabric today that was black with red lips. The masculine collars could then be titled "Lipstick on my collar" or "Kisses for you"

I tried to picture my friends Cairn Terrier Toby in the different fabrics and I believe I would choose...E and I. Very sweet.
