1960's "New Idea": The Inflatable Petticoat!!!
I bought the 1961 Annual supplement to the World Book Encyclopedia at a resale shop a few months ago for 70 cents--you know, just because it was there. When I started thumbing through it, I came across these photos and just had to send them out to all of you.

I love this!! I'd like to print it and frame it for my studio..it's adorable...plus I'm a vintage pattern junkie..they are the greatest.

I have those images in color. Drop an email if you'd like them.
I had one. But, when you sat down, it would flare up and show your underwear. After awhile it lost its round shape and went out to the sides. Looked stupid.
